Born Marie Louise Fuller in the Chicago suburb of Fullersburg, now Hinsdale, Illinois, Fuller began her theatrical career as a professional child actress and later choreographed and performed dances in burlesque (as a skirt dancer), vaudeville, and circus shows. An early free dance practitioner, Fuller developed her own natural movement and improvisation techniques. Louie fuller is a very famous dancer. Who was born in chicago. She first was an actress and then later choreographed and performed dances in burlesque. She was known as a skirt dancer. She made her own movement material up, and improvised using her own techniques. She had multi coloured lighting which she designed to make her costumes light up and look like they changed colour.
